Paul Turner was dismissed on the 1st May 2013 for gross misconduct, he had signed a confidentiality agreement and a non compete clause (of 6 months ) which he breached on day 1.
On the 4th September 2013, he purchased two domain names ComputerRepairsOrmskirk.com and ComputerRepairsOrmskirk.co.uk
Computer Repairs Ormskirk has been an unofficial trading name of ours and we have marketed these keywords for many years which Paul Turner was fully aware in confidence.
I have now under legal advice formed this Company as a Limited Company and the name Computer Repairs Ormskirk Limited is protected.
The purchase of the domains is in itself not illegal however the use of them for any purpose to trade as our business name in the same line of work is deemed as ‘Passing Off’ and Paul Turner has been warned. Trading Standards have been informed as have the Police. Paul Turner is still using these domains against UK trading laws.
Note his email address has a similar name to the domain we are using ‘neo’, the same name as used as his Police Informer code word (although I am sure this has now been changed)
